On 21 October we sent a letter to Stacey Walton (Chief People and Culture Officer) and Tom Slack (Director, People Partnering and Solutions) to communicate persistent concerns of professional staff at Deakin University.
The letter highlighted several cultural and industrial concerns including:
- Workplace Culture
- New Position Descriptions for professional staff
- Unpublished Pulse Survey Results
- Lack of clarity around staff rights to work from home
- and changes being enforced without staff consultation
We note in the letter that the university is at risk of failing to meet its obligations as set out in our 2017 enterprise agreement.
