Come and join us for a coffee and chat next Tuesday 1 November at Caffeine (coffee shop near Student Central, Burwood) from 1:30pm. We will be talking briefly about Enterprise Bargaining. This is a great opportunity to meet members of the branch committee and your fellow unionists at Burwood.
We’d also like to signal that the Faculty of Arts and Education are holding the annual Duck Race (flyer attached). This has been a great fundraiser for charities looking after animals (including racehorses). There is no betting on ducks but you can contribute to animal welfare charities and be in a lucky dip.
We’ve got lots going on at the union at present, including our bargaining campaign, significant professional staff activism, and our escalating wage theft campaign. There will be news on all these items in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!
